    That's a lovely colour pulisa.

Mr C and I went out for the afternoon and it was such a great feeling to not have tooth pain! I've even managed a biscuit today.
I've also made a decision to move my dentist appointment. I don't want to go during the next heatwave due and if the tooth stabilises I'm considering not having it out. Once it's gone it's gone. So I'm going to keep an eye on it and see how it goes. The other reason is because I have seven wobbly teeth that could come out at anytime so I'm very aware of a conveyor belt of tooth loss coming up.

Teeth are so important to preserve if you can..My son has pulled out 10 of his and now he's got to cope with the consequences.

if you can keep the tooth and it's healthy and not a ticking time bomb then that's great. Are the wobbly ones due to gum problems and can the hygienist help improve things?

Yes, I have gum disease pulisa.
They offered root canal and intense hygiene cleaning.
For now, I'd just like a break from it because of weeks of pain and not being able to eat properly, sleep well, plus a bit of weight loss which is always a worry with a history of an eating disorder.
I can't even imagine the pulling of one tooth let alone 10!
As you said, mental pain is far more harder to deal with. xx

I cancelled my dentist appointment today.
They were ok about it but I got the feeling they were a bit miffed I didn't have the antibiotics but still healed.
Obviously I can remake an appointment if the tooth flares again. I've been pain free for over a week and the longer I can hang on to my tooth the better in my way of thinking.
I now have to work on calming my anxiety that built up over that period and avoid any crunchy food which I'm sure a lot of people have to do as well.

Carnation...porridge, soft fruits, eggs, well boiled potatoes and veg.

If it’s all settled down and you’re pain free I can’t see the point of having it taken out. So yes, I agree with you.

Time will bring your anxiety down as it always does. Just avoid the salt and vinegar crisps.

Crisps off the menu Darksky. Too pointy and stabby.
I did wonder for a moment whether I'd made the right decision even though I mulled it over for days, lol.

Fishman, I'm a dab hand at soft meals as I used to cook for my MIL. I didn't think I'd be eating them myself so soon. Suppose its the price you have to pay to keep your teeth!

Stabby and pointy is a good way to describe them. I remember driving a particularly sharp piece of Tyrell’s deep into my gum. Now that hurt like heck.

Hasn’t stopped me eating them though….
