Thank you 23fish x
I will keep your last comment in my mind.
Darksky, that's what I meant, 'ping' meals.
So, they have taken her jewellery box and the friggin hoover!
Anyway, bed changed and made, fed and watered, heating on and watching a dvd.

Had a really bad night's sleep, couldn't settle at all. :(
So zero energy today, but Mr C seems to be getting stuck in. I've managed to clear the kitchen cupboards and catch the refuse lorry today.
The cat sleeping off the trauma of the journey and a jittery night. I woke to find him at the bottom of feet in bed last night.
2 more sleeps and on our way back home.
That's the way to get through it...2 more sleeps.
cant believe they took the jewellery box.....well I can...but the hoover?

The weird thing about the jewellery box was most of the contents I bought her through birthdays and Christmas, not tremendous value, but its the action of taking it maybe thinking they might find a diamond brooch or something.
We are doing well today. Had a head jolt /zap, but think I cured it with a chocolate digestive.
Another sleep out of the way and one more to go.
Managed to get 8 hours last night, probably from exhaustion. So far, cleared the kitchen and the bathroom, tidied the garden. Made neat little piles of books, dvds and pictures. On to the ornaments and wardrobes today and the shed.
Mr C doesn't want to play this game anymore, but he will insist on taking time to reminisce on every item he comes across. He finds a book and starts reading it, a dvd and he wants to watch it. "No, that's not how it's done", I tell him.
We treated ourselves to Kentucky last night which we thoroughly enjoyed.
I'm doing my up most to stay focused, pace myself and keep Mr C fed and watered regularly.
Our cat has been a great comfort to us and distraction. It's almost as if he knows we have a rotten job and reminds us we need the occasional cuddle.
I suppose that's understandable with his mothers stuff, reminding him of past times. You will have to keep reminding him you only have limited time. In any case, if he wants he can always take books home to read.
one more sleep and the van will come, then you can go home. Tomorrow!

Yes, one more sleep!
However, my new worry is the weather conditions tomorrow. There's a thunderstorm predicted and it is a major phobia of mine. But if it is that bad, we will leave later or the next day.
Like I said there are always options.
Heavy rain in the morning but warm by the afternoon tomorrow.. (Met Office). No weather warning so hopefully no thunderstorms.
Hope you have a smooth journey home, Carnation x
Oh thanks Pulisa. You obviously know from old how the thunder and lightening affects me. It's bad enough having the long trip back home, but with a cat on board and my frail nerves, it would be too much!
We have no tv so can't catch the weather forecast. I look up briefly on my phone, but limited info.
This has been a job and a half here and we are leaving the brother to do the final clearing, especially as he has the hoover.
In a way I think it has been good for Mr C as closure with his mum.
I have no idea how I am going to sleep tonight and my job tomorrow will be making sure the cat doesn't escape!
You're on the home stretch (literally!) and you've done it! Oh, it's going to feel so good to be home and know that this is all behind you!!!!! I'm happy and excited (and proud) for you!
