How worried should i be about my longterm use of Nexium

    Hello all,

I'm 33 years old and recently have lost 65 pounds changing the way that I eat. I'm scared of going to doctors and have had acid reflux for quite a while and am taking nexium daily for acid reflux which really seems to help.

I'm worried that my use of OTC nexium is going to harm me, am I overstating things? Is nexium a normal proscription drug that people take for long times? I'm hoping if I continue to lose weight I won't need it anymore but I'm scared that I've damaged myself irreparably for using it longer than the 14 days put on the package.
