    I'm on both anti-depressants and anti-psychotics, the former I got prescribed to make the anti-depressant's sedating effect more prominent.

    You mean the anti-psychotic can be a booster for the anti-depressant.

    Sure!
    I didn't know about it either prior to a few months ago. As I understand it, the anti-psychotic I'm on is prescribed up to 300 mg for insomnia and as a sedative. In its higher dosages, however, it is used for treating psychoses. It's all about the different dosages.
