Oral cancer fear

Hi everyone. My husband has a white discoloration on the outside of his lip.. its been there for a while (I noticed it a few months ago) but it’s sent me into a google spiral as my number one fear for him is oral cancer since he is a former tobacco chewer. He is 36 and has been checked by a dentist for a regular check up roughly six months ago. Can anyone please talk me out of further googling? I’m currently pregnant and my emotions are running high right now.

First off, if he's been checked and it's been there a while, it's nothing to worry about.

Cancer is an uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells. It doesn't come and go nor does it stop once it starts.

Secondly, only you can stop yourself from googling.
