Anxiety Counselling - Initial Consultation today.

Hello everyone, I have an initial consultation today with a new local counselling service with regards to my anxiety issues. I'm expecting it to be a series of questions to determine what type of course would be best for me going forward.

For anyone that has been through similar processes, what kind of things can i expect?

I just had my first visit with a new therapist today. I have done a lot of CBT type education/therapy in the past but the new therapist uses other treatments as well. The appointment time was spent going over some educational points on anxiety...what it is and how and why it develops and some first steps for me to work on. I felt calmer as we finished up than I did when we started and have been calmer the rest of the day. It's now 8pm here. Hope your visit is helpful.
