Phil, you're never going to get better mate unless you get professional help. I'm sorry but I've just looked through your history and you have over 40 PAGES of posts. The one thing you have to understand is that you, like most here, have anxiety. Simple anxiety and nothing more. I see your fears wax and wane and there seems to be a new obsession every day. You made another post early this morning and now this one. I want you to seek help to feel better mate and the only way you'll do that is having a break for the constant reassurance seeking of this site and get into therapy. I know it can be hard when you feel like you're struggling so much but life's passing you by whilst you're just here every day worrying and obsessing. For your own health pal get some real mental help.

This is far beyond simple anxiety but I agree 110% with real life help.

There's a load about my OCD on here, phil:

Things like safe colours are the Magical Thinking theme. I have had loads of that in mine, some of which is mentioned in that thread.

Intrusive thoughts are a very common in OCD. It seems their prevalence may have been underestimated in the past and it's not surprising given many fear even talking to a doctor about them so suffer in silence. 99% of this board must be about intrusive thoughts, it seems to have been that way since I've been a member.

Intrusive thoughts and Magical Thinking are areas I've beaten, they no longer bother me. You can beat them too.
