13 yrs of therapy

I DID IT!
after 30 yrs of holding this all in,and being unable to get wildly angry at the abusers ,i finally did it.in a culmination of over 13yrs therapy withthe same woman,we found a way to do it.they closed off a corridor so i could scream
safely,and i was pumped full stimuli,then surrounded by padding i let go,
i screamed,punched out,begged,cried,and eventually laughed.it was a heartbroken,terrified,horrified rage.i put those inadequate below human torturers in their pitiful place.i won.i laughed with tearful joy as i described my beautiful children and the love from my wife.it was the first time i have ever screamed out what they did.uncensored.i tore them from limb to limb with my bare hands,as i would anyone who hurt my children.
i thought id been screaming for 10-20 mins.it was 90 mins.and i had to be helped up off the floor,exhausted and beautifully empty.

You do realize that we are all going to be screaming at docs for therapy where we can scream shout punch whatever is needed.lol

Well done Ade, it must have felt kind of like an exorcism to let it all out.

I had therapy with a great guy for three years but I was never able to shed a single tear over my unhappy childhood.

But where on earth does a place where you can do this supervised exist? It sounds kind of like heaven. I once had a major screaming and kicking session in a psychiatric hospital but only got a needle in the bum and didn't wake again for 3 days.

I am really happy for you that you have been able to let your demons out.

Ade, I can't tell you how grateful I feel for you that such an environment existed for you to have done that. You needed to get all those feelings out. I do wish there were more places that let people vent their anger in a managed caring environment.
