sore upper stomach muscles

For the past few weeks i have had really sore upper stomach muscles.
this does come and go and moves side.
I have a small umbilical hernia but this is near my navel
I also have ibs and have been feeling sick, again this is on and off.
I have a DRs appointment in June, but i am worried this is something serious.
I have not done any lifting or exercise to cause the muscle pain.
Has anyone had this ?

"Serious" and "on and off" virtually exclude one another. Therefore, you should not worry. I am convinced your DR will tell you the same thing as well as solve your problem quickly.
