    Citalopram and Bisoprolol

    Hi Everyone,
Ever since I started citalopram (again) 6 weeks ago, my blood pressure has been "constantly" elevated (146/90). It's not clear if this is a side effect of cit or from anxiety or both. Before my anxiety/panic flared again and I got back on cit, my BP would be 125/80.
To be on the safe side, my doctor just prescribed me 5mg of Bisoprolol beta blocker.
Does anyone have experience to share taking cit and Bisoprolol (or other beta blocker)? If so, how long were you on the beta blocker and did it work well to reduce your BP? Also, any side effects?
    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Citalopram and Bisoprolol

    Just a quick update:

My blood pressure has dropped to normal levels, starting in mid-July as Cit kicked in and my anxiety diminished. I tapered down Bisoprolol over 3 weeks with no negative effects after taking it for ~1 month and I have now been off for 2 weeks. My high blood pressure was caused by anxiety, not citalopram.
