    cooked pizza on cardboard

    hey guys.

I did something really stupid on accident, cooking a frozen pizza with the cardboard ring underneath it still. It didn't catch on fire or anything thankfully, but now I'm worried about fumes or smoke or something. I already have a headache although I can't tell if that's just from me worrying or from something actually happening. is that an unsafe thing to do even if it doesn't catch on fire?

Nothing to worry about at all.

    The headache is your anxiety.

I expect a huge amount of people do this. And I’m sure that if it was terribly dangerous that the supermarkets wouldn’t pack them that way anymore.

So yes. You’ll be fine and the panic is causing your headache.

Don't vast quantities of Americans eat smoked food on a regular basis!?

There is zero chance of anything untoward happening because of this. You're more likely to get ill from eating frozen pizzas than you are inhaling a bit of cardboard smoke.

Thank you all much. This is definitely the stupidest thing I've worried about in a while but I have this massive fear of my home becoming unsafe because of carbon monoxide or something. Going to sleep and not waking up is scary...

    Re: cooked pizza on cardboard

my throat feels a bit irritated but it's been like 4 hours at this point so I doubt it's from any smoke exposure. The thing didn't catch fire or anything but it was in an oven at 450 degrees so I was lucky that I didn't burn my apartment down
