Sertraline side effects this soon?

Hi all

I have been put on 50mg sertraline to eventually taper off mirtazapine. I took the first sertraline this morning and within 2 hours had to dash to the toilet and I have now had 3 bouts of diarrhoea in the space if an hour. Can it cause stomach upset this quickly? Health anxiety is starting to creep in so any reassurance would be appreciated.

i didn't have upset stomach but when i took my first tablet within a few hours i was getting side effects straight away like nausea, spaced out feeling, headache, etc. it will be the tablets causing it, be assured it's just temporary and the side effects will be gone in about a week

It’s definitely possible. I’m experiencing nausea, vomiting and diarrhea 🤢
