Re: Ectopic Saga Continues
I get them if i do nothing and also if i do something, so we just can't win really can we. But i was told not to let it stop you or bother you, they are harmless, of course if you have had them checked out by a doctor and they have said that this is what they are first. I've seen a cardiologist and had many ecg's and a three day holter monitor and they didn't pick up any ectopics at the time, but he said he thinks that i'm having them and he said that his surgery is full of people all the time that are having these and they are fine, benign and harmless. But they bother me like crazy too. They do ruin my life each day, but we have got to learn to ignore them, huh, easier said than done. I also know that we are not alone and that there are many people out there that can have thousands and thousands in a day, and i'm not that bad most of the time, thank goodness. I remember before i got really ill that we were looking after a running machine until it was sold and i used to go on that each night for a while. I always had ectopic beats during and after, that was about 2 years ago. Still getting them and have been for the past 12 years. They haven't hurt me yet and i've been told that they won't - at all. I have also learned since then that to have things like this, or an irregular heart beat, benign irregular i mean, is actually a good thing. And it can also mean good vagus tone, which apparently is a good thing too.
But i totally sympathise with you about them, they are the bane of my life!xx
