    Colon Cancer fear, please help!

Hello, I am a 24-year-old male. I have been suffering from slight bowel issues on and off for the past 6 months now. I had a ct scan on my abdomen about 6 months ago that showed nothing. Just recently, I had a ct scan of my abdomen again and it showed multiple enlarged lymph nodes in the lower right region of the abdomen, measuring up to 12 mm. The GI doctor, says I'm too young to have anything serious wrong with me, and that we should get it looked at in a few months, he did not seem that concerned. However, I am. I am terrified that I have colon cancer, why would I have these enlarged lymph nodes?? This is my biggest fear in the whole world. I have no family history of colon cancer or anything, but I know sometimes young adults can get it randomly. I have no serious symptoms other than stoamch discomfort and random constipation/slight diarrhea. Any thoughts?

My lymph nodes flare up sometimes when I'm sick - even if it's a light illness, or, I've been told by doctors, that stress can cause them to swell (prime territory for us hypochondriacs).
