Good luck, Toby! I'll be thinking of you.
Good luck, Toby! I'll be thinking of you.
Thanks both
I’m quite nervous but I’ll let you know what they said in an hour
hope your appointment went ok Toby
Hope all went well.
Wow... gonna have to get used to this update
But yes all went well
I'm gonna start counselling.. not that I even want to but it's worth a shot
I was asked to come back in 2 weeks to talk about my symptoms because I made it very clear how anxious I was (not that she thought anything was wrong) but they were focusing on my anxiety this time and there was a training doctor in the room so I didn't want to embarrass myself and beg
and she went through my second blood test results- my ALP was in the normal range although it was 126, and the number just before abnormal is 130. Still in range but should I be worried about that it was so nearly abnormal? It would've raised from last time if it was cancer related though right? Cause it's obviously gone down
No you shouldn't be worried. Your ALP is within normal ranges. You are healthy and it's great news that you are starting counselling!
Really well done!
That all sounds really positive, so glad you are going to start seeing someone to talk things through and also that you now have a definite appointment to concentrate on the symptoms. As you know, I've always said something is upsetting your stomach, but don't have the same conclusion as you do! Clearly that is good that the ALP has reduced....but from the very quick search I've just done it seems normal range is 44-147? (mind, I could be looking at the wrong thing and age and gender may mean you should have different levels lol) Elevated results, and I'm no medic, would surely not reduce if there was anything really serious underlying !!!!!
Thanks Pulisa and Carys!
I just saw that too about the normal range on google and it was posted by a UK site so maybe that is but they go by a different result? Anyway I'm just glad it wasn't raised!
I'm glad I went, I'm a little more relaxed about everything now to be honest. Hopefully it lasts and nothing horrific happens
glad your feeling better toby and great that your going to see a councellor
Great that you got an appointment and it sounds like a positive one.
