And the other day I replied to something else on here?

I respect you and what you’ve been through in life, but we have very different opinions. Maybe it’s best you don’t reply to this thread anymore because we just don’t see eye to eye.
Great thread too! I actually reminded you of it several times on this thread. Sadly, its really done nothing for you

As far as you replying and helping others? I can count on less than one hand how many times in the last month (I looked).

Concerning my replies? I'm sorry you don't care for mine I'm well within forum rules and frankly, I'm spot on in my observations as I've seen this before as have many others. Perhaps its best you listen to the advice in this thread.

    Have a good rest.

GOod for you Toby, have you added it anywhere, to another post or is it its own thread ? Because that is a really ace thing to do and will be so helpful to others ! Sorry, I hadn't actually seen it, otherwise I'd not have mentioned to you the idea of making such replies.

I knew you'd come up with a thoughtful and detailed way to 'give something back', cos you are that type of person, polite, thoughtful and genuinely caring; . Its just taking you some time to process this turn around of events, so much time convincing yourself of something and suddenly it is quite the opposite. Self reassurance is important, you have to undo a lot of negative reinforcement you fed into your brain for nearly a year. Its time to turn it around now - everytime a doubt comes into your head, a 'but', a 'what if', you must religiously come back with a powerful statement and repeat it out loud. TO get that list of powerful statements you just need to look at the things people have said to you on this thread...eg....

I saw an expert in the relevant field.
I had a thorough examination, he saw no cancer.
This expert spends his life dealing with cancer, he would know it just from my symptoms - let alone looking internally.
Various doctors leading up to this also agreed it was NOT sinister.
My symptoms are the same as many others who have had hemmie problems, they have told me many times on this thread.
I feel well, I've not lost weight.
The last few days my stomach felt fine.
I KNOW that the spot of blood happen after a dry hard stool.
Etc etc.....you should be able to get about 30 things I would think.

I thought you’d reply nicely like I did but it’s sort of snarky, I reply to threads whenever I get the chance because I’m not on here 24/7, only when I notice bleeding other than now because of this consultation.

But I do think this isn’t the thread for you. So yeah. Positive thoughts to you too

Thank you, yeah myself 9 months ago could’ve really done with that thread so hopefully when another anxious person comes on they’ll see that! FMP kindly hyperlinked it but yeah it’s a separate thread

Thats a pretty good idea, I’ll try it. Your previous reply is also pretty punch in the gut what I needed to hear too

I better try my hardest to sleep now although it’s still light outside but I’m exhausted

Ah, yes, the hyperlink, didn't spot that. OK, it is a REALLY good thread Toby, and an ace idea and shows that you are trying hard to battle the HA. However, tomorrow after a good night's sleep, make your list of powerful statements to stick on the wall infront of you! A nice long list to counteract the negative resurging 'buts' and 'what ifs'.

Both are possibilities but not givens. This is All-or-nothing thinking about symptoms, you are questioning why they aren't fixed. That's an unreasonable belief. The focus now is moving forward. The questions will persist until the time they stop bothering you and that time comes as a result of moving forward with recovery work. Stop yourself analysing, put strategies in place to remove that thinking time. The more you ask questions about symptoms now it's pure compulsion and counterproductive. Now it's about telling yourself there is no need to question further, reducing negative reactions (and thinking styles) and tolerating the unpleasantness that creates that you can't seek reassurance.
I took a little step back and realized that I was probably overthinking it, but you're right, it's all or nothing thinking

Also I was looking back through my camera roll yesterday and saw a picture I took of the blood on the stool from February and next to it, taken 5 minutes later, was a picture of toilet paper that I wiped myself with, that had two small spottings of blood on it, separate from the... you know. I remember, I think, I took a picture of this because I had no pain so I deduced it probably wasn't a fissure that caused the blood and at the time it was a mystery thinking about what caused it, I'm sure I thought a rectal tumour, but now it would make sense if that blood was from hemorrhoids that had bled slightly, since I saw some on the stool too

This same mystery blood happened on another occasion too, again in a small trace, that I knew probably wasn't a fissure

Or maybe it was a fissure, idk, but I remember there being no pain and no blood when I wiped again

The reason why it says about blood on the tissue and in the toilet on the NHS site, is that MOST people do not check their POO to the ridiculous level you have !!! Therefore most people wouldn't see flecks and smears of blood on the poo. It can and DOES occur, and many places DO list that - as the hard stool passes the haemmerhoid it makes it bleed and the bowel motion can be smeared - particularly the final section that passes the haemmerhoid. If you aren't getting any on the toilet paper afterwards or dropping in the toilet, then that must mean that you are having very MINOR amounts coming off your swollen vein and a very small bit of blood on the poo itself ONLY. Therefore your situation is even less of a big deal than most people have, with bleeding from haemmerhoids as its not continuing to bleed after the bowel motion moves through.

Even if you have trouble understanding the ins and outs of swollen anal veins - you CAN surely see that the specialist found NOTHING ELSE AT ALL OF ANY CONCERN. Nothing.

You have wasted nearly a year, wasted time looking up conditions and throwing yourself into the pits of despair, had a miserable holiday and miserable Christmas - left college! and all for some, or rather one, pile. Think about that. Many many people reading this have probably had bleeding from them too, I know many have told you on this thread that they have. Personally I have a few times in my life, but not in recent years only when I was younger.

There are no more ifs and buts, really. Anxiety probably remains yes, as its hard to just switch, but I just don't sense yet you are moving in the right direction to really address the problem here. This is a non-issue now, the thing you feared isn't there.
I sent you a PM because I saw the message version of this (^ ) first

Re: Have I got rectal cancer?

Something else that happened last night...

I was VERY constipated yesterday, as I mentioned I think, it was literally almost impossible to try and pass a few pellets in the day time (no blood).

Later, in the evening, I felt the urge to go but literally nothing came out

I then, stupidly, had 2 yoghurts before bed at about 11-ish PM and then I slept at about 12 PM

And then I woke up at 2 AM, not long after I fell asleep, and I DESPERATELY needed to go to toilet, I even had some pretty bad pains in my lower abdomen below my belly button that hurt a lot, and when I went nothing would come out for the first 30 seconds but then I managed to go- it was soft, not watery. I don't know I didn't really look but then after it was followed by a lot of watery diarrhoea and loose stool, no blood that I saw in the bowl because it felt very explosive so I was expecting to see blood

I was very worried, am I right in thinking that this was because I ate the yogurt? My stomach was making loads of noises before I went so could the yogurt have triggered that internal storm? I'm not lactose intolerant or anything like that but it would make sense if the yogurt did cause it

Sorry this is TMI but yeah I'm worried because of that sudden pain I felt, the good thing was that it went after I went to toilet though

Toby get off this cycle. You have been checked out, there is nothing seriously wrong with you.

There's been a 1+1=2 reaction throughout this 130 page book. You eat like shit and you shit blood. Then you fall deeper into the rabbit hole and add to that the constant stress and here you are. Look at what its done to you so far! I understand you can't just switch off years of constant anxiety but now you have an assault rifle to fire back concerning this worry. Its scientific fact and cannot be disputed.

Most of all, now you have no excuse whatsoever to address your anxiety and diet. Go back and read this thread. Seriously read it. Step back from yourself and read it like it wasn't you that wrote all of this. Look at your behaviors, countless spirals, irrational thoughts, conclusions and the extreme behaviors it caused.

One of the huge advantages you have is that you're young. You have a chance to recover from what is and has been a debilitating mental issue going back many years. Also take a look at a recent thread here and note the similarities. The patterns are exactly the same. Perhaps help that young man who is where you were see the path he's on.
There's no sense nor benefit to drag this on. None whatsoever . Your GP will reiterate what we've been saying all along and recommend the same course of action. You can voice your concerns and doubts all you want but frankly, now, there's a factual scientific explanation so you'd be taking the piss by doing so. Time to shit or get off the pot (pun intended).
