Here we go, found it 10 pages ago. If you had done this, and stuck the list up, you would now be able to provide 'replies' to your inner voice which is trying to convince you of bowel cancer.

I'm not so worried anymore about myself but if it turns out that my mum might have it then I'll also start telling myself that I have it too because she has it and my symptoms must be genetic bowel cancer

But thanks for reminding me of that list, if I do start obsessing about myself again, I'll try that method out. I appreciate it

Keeping reading your post over and over again rather than touting for replies on here? You have the insight to take responsibility for your HA and you need the confidence now to realise that you can reach these conclusions by yourself again.

You don't actually need this thread. It's another cognitive distortion. You have the power to manage your HA as you have done before. This thread just serves as a reminder of your previous fears which have been discounted by a specialist.

Your Mum would go to the doctor if she needed to go to the doctor, she is 51 (I think you said, same age as me !) years old and quite able to make her own NON-HA-BASED decisions. So, therefore, you are going to do nothing.
