    Prozac to sertaline

Ive just been changed from prozac to sertaline. I was on prozac for 3 weeks. First time ever on tablets. It made my anxiety increase 10 fold and now im terrified of starting something else! I always thought tablets would make me better. Not worse. Ive 2 young kids so i need to get to grips with this. What can i expect?

All SSRI tablets make you feel worse before they make you feel better. so yes you will probably feel worse on the sertraline too.

Sorry I sound negative but it is the truth.... to get the benefits of the tablets you have to deal with the side effects which can last a couple of months (usually less)

I just did the same thing. My anxiety did increase on sertraline but it wasn’t as bad as Prozac, which was hellish for me. It is worth pushing through the SEs though, and if you can get a prescription for a benzodiazepine for the first couple of weeks.
