Thank you so much Pulisa. I have the ct scan in 12 days time, mri the day after. I’ve left another message for the surgeon I’d like to go with. I’m going to email tonight so hopefully I get a response tomorrow.

Thank goodness my little son is making me laugh. I need to just get rid of this thing so I can focus on being his mummy xxx

    Hi Pulisa,

Things are moving (slowly for me but I think it's normal), I had my creatin blood test this weekend in preparation for the ct scan which is next monday, mri tuesday, and the day after tomorrow I have my first appointment with the specialist. I actually went to the hospital yesterday as I took my neighbour who had to have an operation on her uterus. So it was good to see it. I like the look of the place, it's new and actually doesn't look like a hospital, but inside it was a bit freaky as it's an oncology hospital so it's very in your face.

My little boy is great, he's always full of beans so being with him keeps me smiling and gives me strength.

I've been up and down, I'm feeling lots of small twinges everywhere and a bit tired and not sure if it's just my mind over thinking everything but keep thinking they are signs of the disease...

Thanks so much for checking in on me
    xxx

Oh goodness, you don't have to thank me..

The hospital must be extremely specialised and at the forefront of all medical research and breakthroughs re oncology treatment. I'm sure it's very much in your face and scary but once you have started treatment it may become more like routine actually going there and meeting the team who are looking after you?

I think it's perfectly natural to be on the alert for physical symptoms all the time..I would be the same. You just need your treatment to start and then psychologically you may well feel more reassured?

I think you are doing incredibly well-just immerse yourself in your little boy when you are feeling rough? You will get better for him and for your family and you are being treated at a centre of excellence which has to be a very positive thing xxx

    Hiyer Samina,

I've only just seen your thread, and didn't want to walk on past. Your diagnosis will be shocking, and the next few weeks its going to be really tough psychologically, but once your treatment plan is in place (and the offending nasty bit removed) you will start to feel more in control of things. I think you must be doing amazingly well, to go visit the hospital and looking after your little one with the same focus and love. I honestly and truly wish you all the absolute best in the coming few weeks - a good MRI result and a straight-forward treatment plan. x
