I'm bumping this thread as a means for people to let off some steam. I have different health issues I'm dealing with from my previous post and for some reason threads like these, as I said before, helps me to let off some steam. This is purely so I can just compartmentalize what I'm dealing with in my body.
Headaches/migraines: Occasionally, tension headaches
Vision disturbances: Slight blurriness from sinus symptoms
Sinus issues (congestion, runny nose, etc.): Congestion and rhinitis every day unless I use Flonase
Toothaches: No, but I haven't been taking care of my dental health that much.
Gum issues (nerve pain, bleeding): Very rarely
Facial numbness: On occasion
Adult acne: I have staph bacteria that occasionally cause painful pimple-like boils on my face
Difficulty swallowing: Some, from GERD and post-nasal drip from my rhinitis
Ringing in ears/pain: No
TMJ: No
Neck & shoulder stiffness/tension: Yes, a *lot*
Numbness in left arm/right arm/both: Minimal in both arms
Numbness in hands (all over/mostly middle fingers): No
Hands trembling: Yes (I have essential tremor)
Fingernail issues (splitting/cracking, ridges): Ridges are dry.
Chest discomfort (sharp pain, dull ache, pressure, inability to take deep breath): Yes - occasional sharp pains and weird "skipped breath" feelings
Heart - racing, palpitations, skipped beats/hard thumps: Sometimes hard thump feelings
Back pain (upper. middle, lower): Yes - lower, very debilitating
Rib pain (left/right/both sides): Occasionally on far left and far right side of ribs
Breast discomfort (pain, sensitivity, burning sensations): N/A
Underarm issues (lumps, sensitivity): Itchiness and dark skin
Stomach issues (sharp pain, dull ache, indigestion, acid reflux, gas, nausea): Yes - gassy and diagnosed GERD
Abdominal issues (pain - left side, right side, middle, random): Yes, abdominal muscles feel very "stiff"
Intestinal issues (diarrhea, constipation, flat stools, consistently discolored stools, appearance of blood): Yes - excess gas and soft stool and the constant need to wipe; fatty liver
Frequent urination: Yes, urethritis from unknown cause (fungal?) from February
Legs - muscular weakness, frequent twitching, "jelly legs": Yes - weakness on occasion
Feet/toes - numbness, pain: No
Joint pain/stiffness/inflammation: Yes - inflammation everywhere, but mostly knees. Back of calves stiff due to mild edema buildup.
Skin issues (itching, "bugs crawling under skin" feeling, eczema, psoriasis): Yes - itching, psoriasis, major seborrheic dermatitis on face and scalp.
Overall "traveling" random muscle aches & pains: Yes
Overall weakness: Some
Feeling like you're about to faint: No
Inner feeling of shakiness/giddiness: Yes
Feeling as though a weight is being pressed down on your head: Occasionally
Random body parts feeling heated/burning sensations: Yes, bottom of thighs when I sit down and earlobes
Feeling warm/hot all over (when it isn't warm/hot): No
Feeling chilled (when it isn't cold): No
Psychological Symptoms
Chronic worrying: Yes
Feeling like you're going to go crazy: Yes
Sense of impending doom / "days are numbered": Yes
Chronic fatigue: Yes
Overall feeling of being "off": Yes
Feeling clumsy: Sometimes
Depression - no longer interested in hobbies, getting out of the house, etc.: Yes, especially due to COVID
Irritable / impatient: More often than before
Self-absorption (needing to be alone / difficulty feeling affection for others / shying away from the outside world): Yes, especially due to worrying about health
Afraid to be alone / clingy: Somewhat
Agoraphobia or other phobias: No
OCD (checking & rechecking locked doors, iron, stove): Hypochondria is kind of its own OCD.
Insomnia: No
Finally, how old are you? 36
How old do you feel?: Mentally, 36. Physically, 50
Comments:
I've been dealing with more health issues (I probably had these issues, but they just weren't diagnosed) and the things I'm dealing with has given me major stress and worry. I've been having back problems that have been affecting my legs, weird edema on my legs, rhinitis that won't go away, GERD due to my overweightness, dry skin on my calves due to the edema, etc.
I'm at my wits end, but I am seeing a psychologist about all this because I know there has to be a way for me to mentally retrain myself to deal with all this.
