It is interesting that many of the symptoms be it

Psychological or Physical are similar to M.E.

That's why most GPs are dubious of the whole concept of ME and prefer to see the symptoms as a form of anxiety/depression/mental health issues

This is an older thread but I really like it because it makes me feel a little better knowing other people feel things I feel. I'm experiencing rib pain left / right moves around sometimes I'm back usually the lower ribs as well like under breats. I've been extremely anxious the past couple of weeks as well. Those of you that have felt the rib pain, was it anxiety related and muscle tension related posture? With health anxiety I keep fearing the worst of what could be causing it. I'm sure you all already can imagine what type of bad things. Anybody let me know or message me about it.

Sounds like it's muscular or structural pain, most probably related to bad posture or the position you sleep. Anxiety isn't necassarily the cause, but what anxiety will do is make you focus on it so much more. This means you'll notice every little niggle. The chances are it's the type of pain felt on a regular basis by most people, but as most people don't focus on it they barely even notice it.

I'll bet that if you try and ignore it, it'll go away. You'll probably find that if you're focused 100% on another task, you'll forget all about the pain.

Thanks Gary! , my rational mind tells me it's my poor posture from stressing. And laying in poor positions for hours on end. They seem sore when I lay on my sides and when I wake up in the morning before a good stretch I'll feel cramped near the bottom of sternum . I'll try to ignore it but of course with anxiety telling me it's my organs or a tumor.. it's pretty hard! But seeing all the other people posted on this with anxiety and rib pain has given me some reassurance it's most likely tension
