Day 8 effexor feel worse

Hi all

I have been taking 37.5mg of effexor for one week and last night I went up to 75mg. I am feeling worse than before I started.

Is this to be expected? Can anyone give some insight ? Waiting on my doctor to call me !

Yes, this is normal. I just increased to 187.5 and am feeling okay right now (its only day 4), however I get terrible anxiety on day 8 of an increase. It takes about 6 weeks to adjust from what I've been told. Can your doctor give you something to calm down while your system gets used to the Effexor?
