Small amounts of blood in mucus in morning

Hi all,

Going to see the Doctor this week about this but can't get over the worry until then.

Basically I have had a cough for the last few weeks and in the last two days I have noticed a, admittedly very small, amount of blood in my mucus when I wake up. I need to cough to bring it up. It bright red and streaky within the spit.

It doesn't happen at all during the day no matter how hard I cough. Even to the extent that I try.

So panicking a bit. Anyone had this?

It’s highly likely that your throat is just irritated from the cough! Search up other posts on here about this issue and you will see loads of posts about it and see how normal it is for that to happen when you habe a cough. I’m sure when you visit the doctors they will reassure you as well Hang in there
