Thread: Hi everyone

    Hi everyone

    Hi everyone,
I am Abigail, 30 and I am a secondary school teacher.
I have had health anxiety since I was about 20, I have been to psychotherapy on and off for 5 years. Having dealt with a lot of issues is it possible to now believe I just have health anxiety that is not caused by a past childhood issue?
I have had much happier times but I am now engulfed by this and have been for several months. It's heartbreaking to even have to reach out to these places as I feel in doing so I am officially a lost cause, but I am a true the end of my tether.
I would love to be able to chat, not necessarily about symptoms but just experiences.
    Thanks
    Abigail

This is a really good start to be honest, and many don't even get that far. Hope you find the support you are seeking.

    Hi Peggy87
You are not a lost cause! Accepting your problems and seeking help is the first step towards recovery! Many people on here go through all sorts of difficult times, but with help and support they usually find the best way of getting through it all that they can. Did anything in particular trigger your current anxieties? Maybe that's something you should work on? You are not alone.
