Normal to couch up phlegm

Lately I have been coughing up mostly clear phlegm and I am not sure why I do not have a cough mostly just sneezing. I can feel the phlegm in my throat when I swallow mostly in the morning. What's going on here? I may have always had it but I'm just noticing now since I am having quite distressing HA episodes atm.

Allergies. Cooler weather and dryer air = irritated nasal passages = more mucous produced to compensate.

If you are sneezing then you have mucus in your nose from a minor irritation (allergy), you are then coughing it back up. Thats what is going on. I am surprised you are surprised by this, many people have this all the time. Its clear stuff, therefore nothing untoward in either nose or lungs. This is the body doing what its meant to do.
