Diarrhea now constipated

I decided whilre out shopping i would get myself a turkey sandwhich it was the worst thing i could have eaten as i have ibs c and all day thursday i couldnt keep out of the bathroom this went on for 3 days so the only thing i have been eating is toast and watrr,its now sunday and i am back to being constipated,and have a pain under my my right bra line,i am not sure if its wind but i have taken simeticone and cant get it to move,has anyone else had this pain although i would not wish it upon anyone..........thankyou for reading.

Constipation after diarrhoea is very common. It results from either:
1) You literally cleared yourself out
2) The loss of fluids has contributed

Simethicone/simeticone is usually great for trapped wind. You could also try Colpermin (peppermint oil) capsules BUT DO NOT take these if you have a peanut allergy.

Another way to get rid of trapped wind is to lie on your back, bringing your legs up to your chest. Lie like this for a while and it should get things moving
