    ESA assessment outcome

Well I scored 0 out of 15 points on the ESA assessment thereby ending ESA benefit and having to move to JSA.
I honestly believe the woman was interviewing the chair I was sitting on rather than me.
I intend to appeal but I think my ridiculous optimism about life is starting to ebb away.
Why does everything have to be so much of a struggle? !
I'm 61 years old and a widow, I used to be strong but life is grinding me down.

Disgusting Phuzella! 0 points! How can MH = 0 points?

How long have you been on ESA since your last assessment? If you don't mind me asking?

    Re: ESA assessment outcome

I've been on it since April this year. Was working before that doing zero hours I'm schools but the stress brought back my depression.
I was supposed to have an assessment I'm the summer but they messed the dates up so this one is my first.
I was on ESA 7 years ago for a while after a breakdown after hubby's death and scored 0 points on that one as well!!
I also get migraines with bad physical auras including weakness down my left side. But none of this seems to count.

I'm sorry that you lost your husband Phuzella and that's truly shocking and insensitive they passed you fit 7 years ago.

From reading with how long you waited for your assessment is a stunt the DWP pull as you get assessment rate which is less than your entitled to. You're as supposed to have your assessment within 13 weeks . Think how much money they save by doing this? People either get better or give up and only ever received the assessment rate.

Look what the did to Buster this year, leaving him with no money for 6 months.

Are you going to appeal? You should do, but it's tough when you're struggling mentally, but then i'm sure the DWP see us as easy targets.

Yes Matt I'm going to appeal but apparently I need to apply for Universal credit for now. The horror stories I've heard about that !!

    ESA assessment outcome

I got my letter today with details of how I scored 0 points.
There was no mention of the migraines, vertigo, dizziness, left side weakness, OCD etc etc.
But the best bit was the fact that once a week I drive approx 140 miles to see my daughter in Chester and back again. So nearly 300 miles in a day.
My daughter actually lives 4 miles away so 8 miles there and back.
The assessor obviously misheard what I said. My daughter lives in a town with the word chester in it.
So I'm expecting the DWP to insist I get a job as a long distance lorry driver.

    Re: ESA assessment outcome

Hi , my partner went through the same thing earlier this year , don't think for a second they misheard you , they blatantly lie , they said my partner enjoys going out with her freinds socialising she doesn't go out and doesn't see any of her old friends , you have to play them at their own game, mandatory reconsideration, their are lots of places online that will help with the appeal but it can take time , my partner is now on higher rate than before but it did take a while , they seem to asssume you will give up but dont the vast majority get it sorted and back dated .
    Hang in there .
