I think you're really stretching here, to be honest. The GP has told you that you don't have bowel cancer - be happy with that, and look into getting the anxiety sorted so that you can enjoy your life and family again.
Of course they aren't as scary. But if the cancer stories are believable that they could be you then so should the anxiety stories. And if they're not as believable to you because they're not as scary ... then you've answered your own questions by showing that it all comes down to

I'm trying to track back when did I first get prescribed IBS meds - just to try and reassure my mind when I first started having these symptoms.
I think it may have been 2016 or earlier.
Would it be weird to ring the surgery to ask if they can tell me?
B***dy hell, I've been burping loads today and feeling like theres a burning ache in my stomach, had this on and off for a few months. This is also upsetting me, thinking about stomach issue now. Is burping common with anxiety?

Ive been reading up about IBS, and a few sites say IBS should only be diagnosed by docs if extensive tests have been done to rule out anything serious.
Feeling a bit annoyed. If I wasnt in the middle of a HA crisis I would certainly be referred with my recent flare ups. It may not be BC, but looking online, Crohns, Colitis, Diverticular disease sounds quite likely. Very scared waiting for my next flare up.
If you weren't in the middle of a HA crisis you almost certainly wouldn't have had these "flare ups".
I dont understand how others on this forum have had colonoscopies done, and ive told my gp about similar symptoms a few times now and I keep getting dismissed.
