Maybe, but I don't see how that would cause the deep aches which almost spread inside. It's really difficult to explain, just feels like a large inner area is bruised. And a pressure feeling when sitting down. I don't think piles would create this sensation. I've been using piles cream anyway, and inserting that has made me really worry about a sigmoidocopy or colonoscopy.
The other thing I can think of is either a rectal mass, or maybe an abscess in the anal, pelvic area. Maybe IBD would creatE this sensation I dunno.
Finally, unless it's my anxiety causing me to over focus on this area and I'm creating this discomfort. No doubt anxiety can make symptoms worse, but not create them.
Either way, I'm thoroughly freaked out at the moment.

Glad I'm the brunt of jokes when I'm in a lot of discomfort. :-(
Looking up Levator Ani Syndrome that Pulisa experienced, it sounds like that's what I may have.

Well that's good because it's associated with IBS. The pain is exquisite but it's totally benign.
I was prescribed baclofen which is for muscle spasticity so it may help your anxiety as well....That's if you do indeed have it of course and your GP won't have heard of it.
