From a very reputable hospital website...
Do not use alcohol, marijuana, or other substances that could impair your thought process prior to your appointment.
Positive thoughts

Also prep dehydrates you anyways so alcohol is a no no.
Good luck today Mr L
Hope all goes well!
Good luck from me too.
Don't prove us right and come on here afterwards saying that something could have been missed or that your pitted oedema or MS is playing up now..
Hi all, just got back from the hospital, still a quivering wreck.
They only performed the flexible sig on me, the doctor didnt think there was a need to go further. Which im glad of, because I found it very uncomfortable unfortunately. My tense-ness and anxiety probably made it worse. Some of the cramping was painful, and i was a sweaty shaking mess by the end. I apologised for being such a wimp. I wasnt offered sedation and felt a bit too in shock to ask for gas and air. I asked about sedation but she told me to try without. My mental state probably didnt help.
Everything was fine, and no further inveatigations needed. Im not sure how I will manage a colonoscopy if I ever need one.
I need to try very hard and accept this now. But for now i am just a tad worried about post procedure complications.
Great news - so nothing sinister at all found
You don't need a colonoscopy though.
I have never known anyone have post procedure problems other than trapped wind and some pain.
