Insomnia and hormones and anxiety

Hi all,
I have had 11 days/nights of insomnia. Over the counter pills haven't helped, i generally dont feel tired! Im buzzing on fresh air and adrenaline with anxiety increase . Today i feel really hot! Saw doctor yesterday and have some sleeping pills and having blood tests.
Im having the mirena coil removed as im convinced its to blame.
Anyone else have this? Could it be hormones?

How old are you if you don't mind me asking, as if you are around 45 you could be starting perimenopause, the insomnia kicks in around this time since April of last year I cannot get to sleep before five to six am then I am up at anywhere from ten am to two on I even try to go to sleep at a decent time. Also anxiety seems to get worse or happen around perimenopause. Also you can also start to feel hotter and have got flashes of a wave of flushing come over you and break out in a sweat.
