My eyes and face love to twitch just randomly, even during long periods of calm, once they start who knows when they will stop, definitely happen more once you think about them.
My other half (no mental illnesses) gets some massive twitches in his calf’s we find them funny to watch and have used them to make light objects fly off his leg, just to see how far it will go.
Positive vibes,

My tounge keeps twitching... is this a anxiety symptom? If so how does anxiety cause this? Cause this is causing me to have frequent panic attacks I'm having chest pains and been crying and hyperventilating.

Tongue twitching is also a symptom of BFS. Have you looked up the poster Melfisg on here? She began her ALS fears with a tongue twitch. That was several years ago now though and she’s fine
No never heard of her or seen her post I'll check it out thank you for the info Jo

Sorry I spelt it wrong. Melfish
I think she might’ve posted on your last thread. And I might’ve been presumptuous to call her “fine” but she doesn’t have ALS
Last year I had bodywide fasciculations from my tongue to my toes.. I even had temporary weakness in my left (dominant) arm. This went on for about 1 month. I went to the neurologist who observed them, asked how long I had them, and then ran me through some reflexive tests. He was not at all worried...and the reason why is because I had only perceived weakness, not clinical...and the places that were twitching, were still viable and not atrophied. He diagnosed me with transient BFS syndrome. In ALS, atrophy and the inability to use the muscle AT ALL has to come first in order for fasics to take place. Fasics in ALS are the result of dead muscle fibers/nerves petering out. Tongue fasics are considered benign as well if you are able to move the tongue side to side, up and down and out. My fasics were so bad, that it literally looked like someone was popping popcorn inside my entire body. i still get fasics sometimes when I am stressed.
So I woke up to my tounge buzzing and twitching, my upper thigh twitching by my knee, and still both calves. Can this still be stress and anxiety even if I was asleep? Having a rough time atm. Hope all is well with everyone :/
