Throat worries

I have like a weird feeling in my throat almost like a lump and its only ever sore when I swallow or aggravated by hot or cold extremes. I stuck my finger down my throat to feel for any lumps and it feels like its slightly swollen one one side and very painful to touch. I'm scared that this may be throat cancer.

Throats are naturally lumpy, though, they have all manner of structures and glands. If you're worried, see a GP, but I'd stake money on you not having throat cancer.

I have a lot of lumps and bumps at the back of my throat/tongue! In 2013 I went through a period where I was convinced I was dying becaue I’ve never really looked back there before and just started feeling this lump sensation like you described and all I saw were bumps and lumps. I was shining a torch back there daily and I was an absolute mess.
In the end after multiple doctor/ent appointments and months going by I realised I’m not dying and the mouth is just quite ugly and the brain can be quite scary (my first real experience with health anxiety)
Anxiety causes the lump sensation a lot, especially when you’re thinking about it! Go gp if you’re worried but going for a nice long walk with nice music also might help!
