    SO much panic over throat

Hi guys I’ve been experiencing a feeling of something being stuck in my throat for over a week now. I thought it was tonsil stones as I’m prone to those but if they’re there could they be hidden?? I went and saw a PA who examined my throat and said it looked healthy and saw the nook where I feel there could be tonsil stones stuck and even got a little bit out. But I still feel like it’s in there to the point where I’ve been having dull ear pain. I’m so freaked out. I can’t stop looking in my throat and my jaw hurts from constantly examining it. I saw some white patches in the back of my throat and I’m scared there’s something more wrong w me. Has anyone ever had this? Has anyone had a tonsil stone stuck for this long w similar symptoms? I don’t even know if it’s that at this point!

That’s the thing. I have been trying to get them out (if that’s what it is) but t won’t. Now I’m having some dull ear pain and neck pain :( so afraid Has she ever had one lodged deep down? Is that a possibility?

Yeah... gives her stinky breath too She's had it where her throat was irritated and such. Doc wasn't concerned. Some people are just more prone to it. She uses a cotton swab. Check this out.

Thanks for the input. I saw a doc who said my throat looked healthy etc so that’s promising. I guess I have extra fear bc I have hpv16 (when I get Pap smears) and I know that can be a factor in oral cancers. I’m 34 and a non smoker so I guess odds are in my favor?

Take the question mark away at he end of that post and it will be a statement instead of reassurance seeking

Thank you. I just went and checked again and I see a white patch on that side deeper down on the side that’s giving me trouble. I’m so scared something is wrong with me.

Re: SO much panic over throat

If it helps I am having the same thing over the last few months. I am 32 and don't smoke. I keep looking at my throat and it's WEIRD back there right? Mine isn't a uniform red, it's sort red/pink. Bits of white I guess but not really like any of the photos of 'concerning' white. I think it might even just be light pink with the white flashlight of my phone hitting it to be honest.

I went to the Doctor. He saw an ulcer. PANIC. But in the worst luck I could never see it. So now I look at very single blemish/bump and think it's a unhealed ulcer. Went to the dentist the other day, he didn't see anything, told me to see a Doctor if I was worried. Ugh.

Oh and I got a dull earache too but you know what? I only got that AFTER I read online it was a symptom of mouth cancer.

In the end unless I develop a new symptom that's actually a new symptom then I need to accept that statistically I am unlikely to get a month cancer at 32, when I don't smoke, in a location where it's rare to get mouth cancer even if you're in the demographic in which it's less rare, but still rare, to get mouth cancer.
