Sudden strange spotting/bleeding after period and pain

Hi everyone,

I’m just looking for some advice or if any of you have had similar experiences etc, it would be hugely appreciated. Basically over the past week I had symptoms of a UTI with pain in the right side of my pelvis and blood in my urine and was given antibiotics. Took them all and the weeing with blood went away but now I realise I still have pain in my right pelvis area and I am bleeding from “there”. (Yes I checked TMI I know) and it’s very light pink blood not like my normal menstrual flow and my period finished like two weeks ago. I’m not on the pill or anything like that, not sexually active either. The only thing I can think of is weight loss as I’ve lost 13lbs in over three weeks (intentionally btw) and maybe that’s made my hormones change? Really scared about the big C and as I’m only 18 I’ve never had a smear and can’t have one till I’m 25.

Sorry to hear about your concerns.

the important thing to remember is that spotting and cycles come in different forms and it can change.

you could still be suffering the after effects of the UTI, they often take a while to clear up for me.

I'm obviously not a professional so the best i suggest is see doctor if you are worried to double check, but at 18 i highly doubt its the big C

It won't be cancer but go and see the doctor and get your urine tested again.
