    Brain zaps, can’t sleep

It’s a strange sensation to explain but last night I was drifting off to sleep and closed my eyes and I was quickly awakened by what felt like a jolt in my head. Followed was adrenaline and racing heart.

I’ve been under stress and anxiety lately about my job and health and as I lay in bed I could hear my racing thoughts and niggles all going through my head and it was as if they get worse and worse and then my brain just boiled over as it couldn’t cope and I had this episode. Lasted a split second but now can’t stop worrying about it. Now today feel really groggy and tired with a sore head, like a migraine. Worried about epilepsy now and thinking last night was a seizure?

Going to see the doc tomorrow. Anyone any experience with this?

When i get them i am usaully dozing off. It feels like little bolts of electric in my head and body and they jolt me awake. I too get adrenaline rush and palps. I get them when im over tired or feeling extra anxious. I imagine the way ur feeling now is due to being tired and experiencing broken sleep. Please try not to worry. I know thats easier said than done xxx
