Let me know how it goes with the appointment. I’m feeling a bit calmer myself because you both replied to my thread.

everything carys has said makes sense so I’ll bet it’s simple to sort out. Good luck 😊

    **Update**

I just got home from the gynecologist. Long story short-She said this is part of Perimenopause. I had a repeat ultrasound and the cyst on the left ovary is gone. I have a new cyst on my right ovary. It’s just fluid filled, nothing sinister and will resolve on its own. (She asked if I had any pain from it and I told her I did not). She said I might be a chronic cyst maker.

She mentioned birth control but because of the ocular migraines I can only take progesterone birth control. Uterine ablation is another option. I am unsure if I will go with either one right now.

Thank you so much for all of your help and concern. ❤️

Thanks so much for the update, and very pleased to here the is nothing sinister to be concerned about ! Feeling rather smug here myself now, as it was what I thought all along as recognised the things you were describing, you can look up those links now that I posted.

I also have visual migraines, not very often, but I can't have any hormone medication of any sort anyway. You always have the option of short term progesterone (norethisterone) which you can take if you end up with a long bleed again, but I have to say that if you drop by a perimenopause forum you will find its not unusual for some women to have bleeds of many weeks long. SAdly, all the rules are out the window once you enter this stage, and it is frustrating and confusing.

You should feel a bit smug. You had it right! I do not think I will take the birth control. The negatives outweigh the positives in my opinion. I had a strange visual disturbance not long after I got home and it just kind of helped me make my mind up.
