    Breathing issues bringin on ectopics?

Last 2 months I have some scary heart things. I know my single ectopic beats are harmless, but sometimes I get this few seconds of scary irregular heartbeat. I think it is a few ectopics after eachother, very scary.

It seems my breath is out of wack all the time and I have this tight chest feeling all the time. When I get nervous this feeling increases and I do something that seems to trigger ectopics or ectopic runs.

    Has anyone experienced this????
It is so limiting and exausting.

Does anyone have any advice too loosen this chest feeling? I think I hyperventilate somehow the whole day or something.

Maybe I tense up my chest because of fear of getting ectopics, I don’t know.

    Thanks for some advice!

Re: Breathing issues bringin on ectopics?

I suffer from chronic hyperventilation and also unconsciously tense my stomach muscles all the time.

Something I've found in the last week which helps ectopics is holding my breath.

I can go from perhaps 10 ectopics per minute at its worst to 0 pretty much like I've hit an off-switch. I'm kind of amazed.

That I can then hold my breath for a long, long time suggests that there's plenty of oxygen in my blood, perhaps way too much.

So I'd suggest try holding your breath and see if it helps.

    Thanks for the tip.
I think my max ectopics in one day are 10 or 15 max. I’m afraid that if I hold my breath my heart will go all out of rhytm.

I hate that tense feeling in my chest.

Holding your breath won't make the heart do anything unless you push down really hard too, as that can make you pass out by slowing the heart rate.

Slowing breathing is an alternative I guess.

I don’t know. It feels like my breath is sometimes connected to my heartrhytm directly.
