Haven't had period in almost 3 months

Hi I haven't had my period in almost 3 months. Could it be due to anxiety? Because the past 3 months my anxiety has been the worst it has ever been. I'm very worried. I honestly have so many things going on right now. Anxiety is ruining my life and is causing me so many others problems and things to worry about. Thank you

Well this really depends on your circumstances - there are LOTS of reasons why periods can stop. Yes, this can be caused by anxiety, but can also be the result of

- pregnancy
- perimenopause (depending on your age)
- certain contraceptions, e.g. the IUD
- substantial weight loss
- heavy/frequent exercise
- PCOS (but you would have other symptoms besides this)

It's something to investigate, but not something to worry about!

During my first semester of college, I was under so much stress mentally and physically (for lots of different reasons) I missed my period. Since I was in a sexual relationship at the time, I went to the college doctor (I took two pregnancy test and I got cheap ones because I couldn't afford better and I wasn't sure of the result.) It was all down to stress for me! It returned to normal again but go to the doctor just to make sure x
