    Unstable angina fear

    Hi there
I'm worried about a symptom my mom is having.
She says she's feeling like a pressure in the middle of her chest these days. I googled about it I now I fear it is unstable angina, since there's no clear pattern on when this pain or feeling appear.
However, she says its something that come and goes really quickly; it lasts about 2~5 minutes and then it's gone. I've read online that unstable angina lasts for at least 20 minutes.
Could an unstable angina last for such a short period of time? It's worth saying my other has health anxiety; she's 55.
    Tks for any thoughts

    Re: Unstable angina fear

I have angina and what you read is correct. When I get an attack, it lasts for a while and is relieved by taking nitro. There's no way to determine what is going on and at 55, it would be prudent for her to see her doctor.
