It seems like our lords and ladies aren’t too taken with the idea of a detached residence somewhere miles from the metropolis. Perhaps they worry it’d be the first step on the road to them becoming homeless altogether...? Folks could be asked to adopt a peer of the realm. They'd live with you in your house, but not, er... mine, because I think all that robe and finery stuff is a complete waste of space.
Blimey, politics gets weirder and even more bizarre every day!

But on the other hand, very little really surprises me anymore, especially in the world of politics.

Good grief I’d forgotten Leonard Swindley.

Firm favourite….Reg Holdsworth, the gurning boss of Curly Watts. What a double act they were.

Good god, that sounds like the subject of childhood trauma, especially as I have always found nearly all soaps period nothing but an epic borefest.

I guess it was also a bit like being told to button it while the news was on!

But before I get shot down in flames and called a spoilsport by those on here who still watch the soaps religiously and derive immense pleasure from them, each to one's own!
