This is SUCH fabulous news, that the baby crow is doing so well. I have a resident family in my garden that have a set of babies each year, and they are such wonderful (and highly underrated birds). Mine have 'trained me' by cawing to bring them their breakfast and tea and get up to all sorts of antics! You are doing SO well and a superstar to put the effort into this youngster. I applaud you and can't wait for more pictures. I don't know who it was that earlier mentioned dry (soaked) complete dog food, but that is great advice, I throw that out for the adults and they take it to the birdbath and soak it themselves and then take it back to the nest.

That is fabulous Carys. I love that you have been well trained. Crows are very good at recognising individual humans apparently- and distinguish between “nice” and “not nice” ones. I read they sometimes even bring gifts to the nice ones.
Love that they soak the food for themselves- so clever!

Sterling effort, JoJo. Mossy is growing nicely and will soon start crowing in your home too (good luck)!

Maybe only in Crowborough? Of caws I may be wrong but hopefully you will be able to tell us once Moss starts to vocalise?

What a wonderful job you are doing, BirdLady! xx

She's a little beauty! You can tell from the new pics that she is growing and her feathers are starting off. You are clearly giving her the best chance.

I've got an image of you walking around with one of those baby harness things on your front, jojo

Hello lovely Moss. How nice that she’s helping you on the school run.

I met a man from crowborough today!
