CBT or counselling? Advice for talking

Hi all, been suffering on and off for years with anxiety and recently after a bad weekend i have decided its time to do something. I cant work out whether to go for CBT or justhave some counselling to talk through my issues. Although i dont know what my issues are at the moment!
Does anyone recommend anything? Has talking about it helped?

    Hi

This is just a courtesy reply to let you know that your post was moved from its original place to a sub-forum that is more relevant to your issue.

This is nothing personal - it just enables us to keep posts about the same problems in the relevant forums so other members with any experience with the issues can find them more easily.

Id recommend CBT. It forces you to evaluate/understand your way of thinking, and challenge your thoughts. This makes it more of a permanent solution, something you can use later on as your anxiety ebbs and flows.
