    Debt advice

I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this. Anyway we are in contact with a solicitors that deal with debt repayments/bailiff collections etc. They were on the point of sending the heavies round. We have agreed to start paying off these debts at a set rate per month, it will be a struggle but we don't have much choice. The thing is that they keep asking us to fill in a budget form. Are we legally obliged to provide this info even though we've agreed to pay? Thank you.

Only if providing such info forms part of your repayment agreement. They should have asked for this info before agreeing monthly repayment with you TBH.

    Re: Debt advice

I can't remember which organisation my sister went through when her debt got too much, but she had a payment plan etc. The key was keeping them informed, and renegotiating if necessary. My mum and stepdad took the route of bankruptcy which was a big relief for them. Have you also checked if you are claiming all the benefits you can?
