You need to quit reading up on stuff, Mr. L.

Maybe start by reducing your Google usage to half an hour at a set time each day? A therapist suggested that to me and it worked wonders - before that I was wasting four or five hours a day terrifying myself during bad phases.

I can't lie, though, the citalopram has helped immensely when it comes to reducing the urge in the first place. It damps down the horrendous sense of urgency you get with anxiety, which makes it easier not to do stupid stuff.

Your admitted "macabre fascination" with Google and all things medical is doing you no favours at all, Mr L, but it's really a question of whether you can see this and if you can, do you want to do something about it or are you happy to keep things as they are?

Currently sat waiting for a doc in a&e. Ive seen the triage and was having a panic. I just know its my bp causing this but dreading that diagnosis.

High BP has been a big fear on mine, but here we go.

Sorry, but my sympathy is limited; you wilfully put yourself into this state.

Dont blame you. Its fathers day, and rather than spend time home, i went to hospital.

Saw the doc, my bp was fine apparently, and had another ecg, also fine. Still feel lightheaded and pressure in my head though.

Because you're in a state of severe anxiety but apparently don't want to do anything to remedy this.

It's a shame you live so close to A&E. I'd be embarrassed to be a "regular" there. I'd be embarrassed to post on here about another unnecessary visit.

Fair enough. I wouldnt say im a regular, ive only been twice in the past 6 months, which admitedly is more than the average person.

I thought id feel much betted today but i still feel woozy and lightheaded along with head pressure walking around, and fine when sitting down. My tinnitus is much louder than normal too. Not sure if I should go to my gp for a second opinion, still a bit concerned if theres something sinister going on in my head/ neck. Artery tear, spine issues etc.

Could tense neck muscles cause this?

    I last went to A&E in 2013. Before that, 1997, I think?

Do you want to recover from your health anxiety? I'm starting to think it might be your comfort zone.
