Are you still on doxepin too? If so, how much?

been lying in bed since 5 am took another .5 loraz at 6.30 am. just feel the depression is getting worse.
It is getting worse from a lack of sleep and the affect of the two benzodiazepine active meds, plus maybe rebound insomnia if you stopped the doxepin recently.

off to see my cpn this morning. quite a young woman and i dont really gel with her
Solving the insomnia issue should be the number one priority. Progress is going to be difficult until it is.

Oops. Should have paid more attention when I scrolled back to the beginning of the thread.

Doxepin is one of the sedating antihistamines, or antidepressants - also trazodone and mirtazapine - that in low doses would be better sleep aids than zopiclone and lorazepam.

Most doctors believe antidepressants begin and end with SSRIs, SNRIs and maybe mirtazapine with a growing, nutz imho, trend to go to antipsychotics if there isn't a response, not a TCA, or MAOI. Even when TCAs are considered it is usually the serotonergic amitriptyline and imipramine, not the noradrenergic lofepramine, desipramine and nortriptyline. Lofepramine seems to be the preferred NA TCA in the UK, its biggest market.
