Never ending period and spotting

Hi I’m 37 and currently having the longest period ever!! Well for me that is now prescribed transecic acid to try stop the bleeding and been referred to gyno but it didn’t really feel or look like normal period I had skipped last month so presumed that but I’ve been bleeding for over two weeks on and off which is hard as I have vulvodynia so wearing pads can get very painful and always glad when it’s over and not just for the normal reason has anyone else had this ?

Thank you for your response I’ve been prescribed Tranexamic acid only a day and half in but feel like it reducing but not stopping 😭waiting for a referral hoping it will put my mind at rest

When I took that medication it took a good few days for my bleeding to actually stop.

Hi sunny delight Just wandered how u were getting on as I'm experiencing something similar myself.33 periods normally normal.on microgynon and yet on day 10 of period retaking my pill however period isn't stopping.what happened with u after
