Melanoma

I had what I thought was a callous on my big toe. I put some foot cream on it and a plaster.
It has now gone brown and looks like a melanoma.
I'm very scared.

Discoloration under a callous is normal I think because some blood gets under the callous and turns brown / dark.

I've seen this happen with one on my husband's heel. Spent months in a state of abject terror, despite him telling me exactly what it was... and then the skin dried up and fell off.

Health anxiety turns us into raging idiots.

Thank you. Part of the brown area has started to fade.
Did your husband have a round brownish patch after the callous had come off?
Your so right - health anxiety is a nightmare x

He did, yes, and the skin was quite new and shiny.

Still stressing over brown patch on toe.
It wasn't there until the callous came off.
It looks like a mole , scared it's melanoma.
Have GP appointment next Wednesday but am terrified.
