Honestly wouldn’t bother me he could pick his nose for all I care this ocd is purely based on of I witness something forever contaminated like dirty washing or toilet germs. Perhaps this is something the therapist can root out and figure why I maybe don’t have one rule for one but another for this?

As I say not ideal to replace the handle but if it makes people feel better the door handle was very discoloured and going green and dirty anyway so if anything it makes the door look bit brighter.

That's probably because you bleached it so often. Metal will discolour unfortunately.

There are no "rules" in OCD, Phil. Just obsessions and compulsions which only YOU can change. A therapist can only guide you.
