I am 27 and recently noticed that my left testicle seems to be very firm. I was diagnosed with a hydrocele 10+ years after noticing somewhat significant swelling in my left testicle. Back then I thought it was cancer and my doctor was initially very concerned, but I was diagnosed with a hydrocele after an ultrasound. The specialist who I was referred to said he didn't want to operate on it unless it was bothering me or it got bigger, neither which happened. The issue is that I avoided feeling for lumps in my testicles since then because I didn't think I'd be able to feel anything with the fluid around the testicle, so I can't tell if this firmness/hardness is normal. It definitely feels firm, but I can't tell if it's firmer than the unaffected testicle because of the fluid and this has been going on for over a week. I don't want to go to a doctor because I've already been to the doctor twice for random things this year outside of a normal annual physical and I would have to take time from work to go.
